“Haydn’s Creation” is an oratorio written by Joseph Haydn between 1797 - 1798. For this project, I collaborated with Fort Lewis College Choir Director, Dr. Brendan Barker to create the poster, and 20 page program that would accompany the nearly two and a half hour show. During the creation process, Dr. Barker and I agreed upon creating a more modern design that had more potential to appeal to larger and younger audiences while still capturing the “awe-inspiring” feeling that the oratorio has. In this way, I strived to make the work resemble more of a “documentary-esque” feeling that would still resonate with the idea of creation.
